The Holidays and Finals

Well since Ethan is napping and I am tired of studying I figured I would update you all! Finals are in less then 2 weeks and the stress is beginning to hit. I am taking 6 classes so that means 6 finals!! I am trying to just take it one by one and not worry. Boy will I be glad when this semester is over.

Thanksgiving was great. We went to Dans parents and spent time with them. It was fun to have every one together. Dan and I took Ethan black friday shopping which was well a big mistake. His stroller did not fit in have the stores and he was not to happy of a camper at midnight. On a lighter note we did get lots of stuff.... we got over 10 blu-rays, a pack and play, lots of shoes and clothes, a new gps which we love and lots more.

Christmas is coming and we are excited we will be spending christmas in Florida. we will be gone from Dec. 17th till Jan.1st. We are touring a lot of the coast and are really looking forward to getting away. Ethan is so big now. He crawls every where and pulls himself up and stands. He is deff. a mommas boy.

The course life takes is never known

Well I thought since I have a few minutes I should give everyone an update! My sister from New York with two little boys will be moving here as soon as their house sells!!! This is a complete shock to the family as she said she would never move to Utah.... but due to the economy in New York and her financial situation this is the best option for her ans her family!!!! Hopefully all goes well in selling the house.... my mom takes care of the boys everyday so hearing this news was a very sad and devastating thing. She knows it is best but has helped raise the boys and feels like she is losing them. I am so glad this my sister decided to move here as it is hard for me to be away from my family.
As for us Ethan has had a terrible ear infection and just cries with pain all the time.... he is on antibiotics and is starting to feel better, and yes many sleepovers on the couch together did occur.(lol) He is getting so big and goes to the doctor next week for his 6 month checkup!!! I can not believe he is that old I feel like he is still a newborn!! He has been such a blessing in our life.
Dan has recently decided to purchase a t.v. We went and bought the stand last night and will be getting our 54" plasma this week.... who really needs a t.v that big will never make sense! He still is enjoying his job and doing great
As for me so much is happening. Mindy and i are starting to go to the gym together twice a wekk along with that Cambric and i are going to cycling class which is such a killer work out. Hopefully with going to the gym and dieting I will be able to lose weight! My end goal is to be about 60 lbs. lighter I know it will be a lot of work but I am prepared! School is going good just so much to and no time to do it. Dan and I got called to teach CTR7 together so this will be a new experience for the both of us. Life is good and we are loving being a family and enjoying all the time we get to spend together.

Wow are we busy!

I just started school about a week ago and man is it a lot of work. I am taking Anatomy and Physiology, and Foundations of human nutrition online. I am then going to class Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and taking Social Promotion, Women's Health Issues, Ethics and Values and Modifying Health Behavior. I will literally be doing homework all day and night. Luckily Ethan takes a good nap which will give me time to do things.

Ethan is really getting big. He now weighs about 16 pounds and is 26 or so inches long. He loves to roll all over the house and is starting to learn to crawl. He pulls his legs under him and pushes himself forward but still can't figure it all out. He is also eating baby foods and loves all the fruit ones. He eats the whole container and I am sure if I let him he would eat more. He is still happy as ever and is a great sleeper at nights. He also is ticklish and laughs when you change his clothes. He has been so fun to have around. He loves the sounds thing make so I put him in this cereal box and he loved scratching it with his nails to hear the sounds.

The joys of being a parent

Well last night Ethan decided to scream all night and would not sleep... I think he may be getting a little cold. We decided that since he would not fall asleep I would have a little slumber party with him on the couch. Eventually back to sleep he went but unfortunately Dan and i did not wake up in time for our 8:30 ward so just went late. We then found out we will no longer be in that ward. Our boundaries are changing, the worst part about it all is we will know have church at 2:30. Yup you heard me 2:30. How horrible is that!?

Life

So life has been crazy these last four months. Ethan Daniel Watkins was born on April 1st at 8:06 pm. He weighed 8lbs. 6 ounces and was healthy. Life has definitely changed having a baby around but i am now getting the hang of things. He is a great blessing in our lives and is an amazing little boy. He is a good sleeper and is a very happy boy. Dan and I have been able to do so many fun things with him. He loves the water and swimming around in it (of course we hold him up).
Dan is still working at Qualtrics and currently loves his job there. I am staying home with Ethan but will start back at school this semester. Dan's mom is going to take care of Ethan for a few hours a week. We bought a house and moved in about a month after having Ethan. We now live in Lehi and although housing costs have definitely increased we love where we live. We have also been taking many vacations lately. This past weekend we went up to an awesome bed and breakfast in Midway for our 2 year anniversary. It was nice to get away and relax for a bit.

Doctor's Appointment

Today I went to the doctor's and all is well. My official due date is March 25th but if I go past that date I will be induced on April 1st. Let's home he comes before that! He is growng good and has a strong heartbeat! We are excited to be parent's soon!!

Life

Dan and I have been married for about a year and a half. We are expecting our first baby on March 25th. His name will be Ethan Daniel Watkins. Dan is currently graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Business. I am currently working on a degree in Community Health with the intentions to be a stay at home mom! Dan works full time for a company called Qualtrics and he loves his job. We are also in the process of looking for a home. We have an offer in on one but still are awaiting any new news on it. Hopefully we will find one that we love.
